News: I’ll have a slurpee a hot dog and World of Warcraft

Did anyone happen to stop by a 7-Eleven before November 13th and get a copy of Wrath of the Lich King? If so don’t bet on picking up any more early titles at the convenience store chain. While 7-Eleven does plan on carrying video games regularly, they'll need to improve their street date policy, so says 7-Eleven spokesperson Margaret Chabris in an interview with MTV Multiplayer.

"We need to comply with industry standards. Not only do we council them [infringing stores], but right now we're working with our legal department to develop a policy that we're going to be sharing with our franchises at our stores saying there would be repercussions if they didn't comply."

The stores has plans to stock up on Gears of War 2, Call of Duty: World at War, Guitar Hero: World Tour and many other big titles.

And in Xbox news it looks like the 360 has out sold the original Xbox, this according to the VP of Microsoft Interactive Entertainment business for Europe, Chris Lewis. He also added that the 360 has sold over 25 million units. So, um good for them.

The 360 outsells the PS3 for the most part, but Microsoft has a lot of work to do it they want to overtake the PS2. Which still has good sales, despite being an 8 year-old system.

To make this news a bit odd and possibly a bit less credible is the fact that the employees in mention work for 7-Eleven so you may want to take it with a grain of salt, but still very cool. Seems that 7-Eleven will be serving up stale hot dogs, Slurpees and copies of World of Warcraft come Midnight.
